Mr. Lee-Williams

Who is Mr. Lee-Williams?

This is one of the questions I have been asking myself, without knowing it, for many years.

Mr. Lee-Williams is a label that was born in the mind of a little girl. Back then the project had no name and no foundation to hold it up, but, without that girl knowing it, it was already there.

So I could say that Mr. Lee-Williams comes from my need to work on a project so personal that it interprets who I am through garments, colours and shapes.

My inspiration drinks from endless afternoons watching Grace Kelly in “To Catch a Thief”, “Mogambo” or “The Country Girl”, Katharine Hepburn in “The Philadelphia Story” or Audrey Hepburn in “Roman Holiday”, “Charade” or “Paris When It Sizzles”; and also from hours of VHS recordings of artists who revolutionised the aesthetics of the music industry, such as Michael Jackson, Queen or Madonna.

Mr. Lee-Williams therefore expresses, in each of its designs, everything that has stayed with me over time, and it will grow as I do. In this commitment to personal honesty, it is essential to me that respect for the environment and animal welfare is present in every production process of the brand.

Building a 100% sustainable company from day one is quite complicated, but with every new collection we must work towards doing “more and better with less”, helping to reduce the great pressure our industry has traditionally put on ever scarcer natural resources, as well as the environmental damage that is partly responsible for today’s climate change.
